Erectile Dysfunction – How to Overcome Erectile Dysfunction

How many men seek erectile dysfunction treatments? Research from the Sexual Dysfunction Association shows that at least 10% of UK males have regular problems maintaining an erection, or have had these problems in the past. Yet, too many of these men fail to find remedies or cures for their problem. Out of either embarrassment, despair, or the hope that their problem will go away, many of these men prefer to suffer. Rather than stop impotence resulting from erectile dysfunction, these men would seem to prefer to remain impotent, and silent.

Causes Of Erectile Dysfunction

Often, there’s a physical problem preventing blood from flowing into the man’s penis, or remaining there long enough to allow the man to penetrate a female sex partner (let alone reach orgasm). Diabetes, nerve damage, and hormonal deficiencies can all cause men’s penises to remain almost permanently flaccid. However, in some situations, the inability to become physically aroused might have a psychological cause. These situations are often especially distressing for men who experience them, due to the great cultural stigma attached to men’s “potency.”

Mental Causes Hurt Most

Alas, there is an unstated assumption in our society. The assumption is, if there’s nothing wrong with you physically and you can’t get an erection, there must be something wrong with you spiritually, as a man. Of course, for the materialist this is rank superstition. Why is a man any more responsible for deep-rooted emotional problems that he can’t control, than he is for physical problems he can’t control? The pragmatist also finds society’s attitudes towards this matter impractical, and inhumane. Why devote one’s energy to bemoaning the “shame” of impotence, instead of using that energy to look for treatments?

Discover Erectile Dysfunction Treatments With NLP And Hypnosis

In reality, shame usually contributes to (or even directly results in) a man’s inability to get an erection. To become aroused, a man needs to feel relaxed, confident, and sexually potent. Usually, if a man who doesn’t have anything physically wrong with his sex organs can’t become aroused at the sight of a sexually willing member of the gender to which he’s attracted–it’s because the sight of that woman (or a man, if he is gay) does not make him feel relaxed, confident, or sexually potent. In these situation, for whatever reason, the thought of sexual intercourse fills the man with such fear that he cannot experience an erection.

Indeed, perhaps the reason he can’t get an erection is that he’s over-analyzing himself. He wonders about his potency. Perhaps he’d had a traumatic sexual experience at an impressionable age. Perhaps he’s worried that he is too old, and thus can no longer “get it up.”

Regardless of the cause of their anxieties, NLP can help suffering men rid themselves of the unwanted thoughts that cause erectile dysfunction. Using the techniques of NLP and hypnosis, men can learn to induces positive, calm, and confident states of mind at will. NLP can teach men to recognize the thoughts that lead to fear and loss of erection. NLP can teach men to recognize the thoughts that their mind has automatically played out, again and again, in response to certain triggers (such as the prospect of sexual intercourse with a real person). Finally, NLP and hypnotherapy can teach men to replace thoughts of anxiety with thoughts of confidence. If the men are otherwise healthy, this tends to ends their men’s sexual impotence. Thus, if other erectile dysfunction treatments don’t work–try NLP.
